The overarching goal of the project is to investigate environmentally sustainable passive control strategies aimed at enhancing the seismic resilience of pipeline networks installed within underground utility tunnels. The core research activities will center on: (i) the development of models for pipeline systems, with a specific focus on tubular structural components; and (ii) the design of effective passive control solutions tailored to safeguard these networks during seismic events.
